Tallinn is the capital of Estonia, and sits on the edge of the Baltic Sea, across the waters from Finland and Sweden, two countries that have played a big part in the development of this fascinating city. Tallinn is a lot more than just another former Russian town; the name itself – taani Linn means ‘Danish city’, and one of its great attractions is the number of medieval buildings and structures which still stand, looking today as they did 400 years ago.

A recent extensive survey conducted by directline holidays reveals the UK consumers most sought-after holiday destinations in the 2006 and 2007 season.
The survey was assembled from one and a half million online searches completed on the directline holidays website (www.directline-holidays.co.uk) from a quarter of a million UK residents.

The Florida Keys are a great place to go on holiday. Key West is closer to Cuba than to the major US cities, and there is certainly a more relaxed and amiable attitude than you might find within the US. The Keys attract a wide range of sports enthusiasts, whether you wish to snorkel or go boating. One of the most popular attractions in recent years has been to swim with the dolphins, one of those lifetime experiences which should not be missed.

Bridal Veil Falls, Telluride

Ooh! That’s what most people say when they enter this town wedged in a picturesque glacial canyon at the base of the dramatic San Juan Mountains. Once a remote mining area, today Telluride has become a destination (and home) for artists, skiers, celebrities, second homeowners, hippies, and just about any other type you could imagine. But that’s what makes it so special.
A restored Victorian main street is delightful for shopping, munching, and people-watching; you can sign up for a walking tour, or guide yourself with a map available from the visitor’s center.
