Atlanta is all about Southern hospitality, and there is no better place from which to enjoy all that this Georgia city has to offer than from a cozy bed and breakfast. Whether you come to town on business or pleasure, here are some Atlanta bed and breakfasts that are sure to please:
Ponce de Leon Place Bed and Breakfast is just minutes from all the action, yet tucked just outside of the city’s downtown area. Each of the four guest suites has been individually decorated, and each offers something special. The Executive Suite has a private, screened-in porch. The City Suite has a pot-bellied stove. Guests are treated to a full breakfast, the perfect site to a day of sightseeing and shopping.
Built at the end of the roaring 20s, The Beverly Hills Inn is located in the posh Atlanta area of Buckhead. Enjoy a walk around the neighborhood and you’ll find an abundance of interesting architecture, as well as the Governor’s Mansion. There are 18 rooms and suites to choose from, and each has been individually decorated. The inn is about 15 minutes from downtown Atlanta and near to plenty of shops and restaurants.
Located in Atlanta’s eclectic arts and theater district, Stonehurst Place is full of historic charm. This Atlanta bed and breakfast was built in 1896 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The home was owned by the same family for a century, so much of its original charm has been preserved. There are five guest rooms, each with a fireplace. The grounds include a koi pond and gardens.
Virginia Highland B&B, a restored 1920s-era Craftsman bungalow, is another Atlanta bed and breakfast option within walking distance of the city’s botanical garden. Guests can relax in the garden or on the hammock or swing on the screened-in porch. There are three guest rooms, two with a whirlpool tub. The bed and breakfast is close to all of Atlanta’s major attractions.
The King-Keith House is one of Atlanta’s most photographed buildings with its charming Victorian architecture and colorful paint scheme. The bed and breakfast is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and features guests rooms decorated in period style with antiques. Some rooms have a Jacuzzi or clawfoot tub. The innkeepers serve a gourmet, full breakfast each morning. This Atlanta bed and breakfast is located near downtown in the city’s Inman Park neighborhood.
